Wickedly Trapped Book Review

A big thank you to Netgalley and Evernight Publishing for allowing me to read and review Wickedly Trapped by A.E. Nalle. I am currently running on very little time, so I am going to have to jump right in. So here it goes.

Wickedly Trapped By A.E. Nalle

From the ripe age of 16, Kate’s life has never truly been her own. Now, as a 35-year-old divorcee, she finally has the freedoms she’s always longed for. But, while trying to find her true self for the first time, her fate collides with two hot younger men and a threat that snaps her back to a brutal reality.

Heath is tall, dark, and delicious. With jet-black hair and deep emerald eyes, he is the epitome of a sensual Greek God. Reid is the opposite of Heath in almost every way. With his blonde hair and amber eyes, he is the imposing Viking of her dreams.

Together, they make an intoxicating blend of insatiable masculinity she finds impossible to resist. And they will stop at nothing to protect her, even if it’s her past they have to save her from.

My Review

**I received an ARC of this book through Netgalley in exchange for my honest and voluntary review. All thoughts and opinions are my own**

Wickedly Trapped was a fantastic first in the series and I cannot wait to read more from A.E Nalle! I gave it 4/5 stars overall, but for spiciness, it is definitely a 5 out of 5!

Kate is a recently divorced 35-year-old mom. She gave birth to her daughter at just 16 and has only now gotten out of her loveless marriage, moved away, and finally gained the freedom she has been searching for. Now, as a 35-year-old mom who got pregnant at 17, I felt like I could relate to her a bit, which probably helped my opinion of this book. Not the divorced part, we are actually mostly happily married. But I understand Kate’s feelings about feeling like you lose who you are amongst motherhood and being a wife. It’s hard, especially when you start so young.

Anyway,

when she finally moves away and starts on her new journey, she meets Heath and Reid. Best friends who share way more than just their apartment.

When Kates Ex-husband reappears, looking to start trouble for her, Heath and Reid are both there to help her keep it all together.

Honestly, I don’t read a whole lot of erotica anymore. I always find that it’s just all sex and not very good stories. (Not always a bad thing but not what I’m typically wanting in a book. I need a good story too.) But Wickedly Trapped surprised me! Yes, the spicy parts are very frequent, and also amazing and soooooooo spicy. But the storyline is actually really good too. There was good character development, and all of the characters were extremely loveable. (Except the Ex. He’s an ass.)

I would recommend this book to anyone (appropriately aged) who loves a great spicy read and a really great story. Just please be sure to check trigger warnings!

I have to get back to my actual day job now! Until next time, have a great day!
